New office becomes a conservation base
Aruba Conservation Foundation has officially opened a dedicated Conservation Management Office. The ACF conservation management office will support teams working in conservation, research, advisory services, nature management, monitoring, education and public awareness across Aruba’s protected natural areas.
Historic cunucu house gains protected status
The opening included installation of a protected-monument seal on the historic section of the building, a traditional cunucu house. Aruba’s governor toured the office and met teams responsible for conservation management, research, consultancy, learning and outreach.
Plans include wildlife rehabilitation
The office is part of ACF’s 2023–2032 strategy to expand expertise and internal capacity. Director General Tyson Lopez said the investment responds to complex threats facing Aruba’s nature. Plans for the site include a wildlife rehabilitation centre and greenhouse expansion.
