Aruba’s Department of Taxes (DIMP) has issued official reminder letters to taxpayers who have not yet submitted their 2023 income tax declaration. The letter, dated July 10, 2025, is being sent by post and serves as a final warning to comply before the deadline.
Those who fail to submit by the final deadline of July 21, 2025, may face fines up to Afl. 10,000 and will receive an estimated tax assessment based on projected income.
If you have already submitted your declaration but still receive the letter, the DIMP advises disregarding it.
Although the original filing deadline was October 9, 2024, and an extended grace period was provided until December 9, 2024, a significant number of declarations remain pending. This final window gives taxpayers a chance to fulfill their obligation and avoid penalties, which include a minimum fine of Afl. 250 or 5% of tax owed.
The Department is calling on all remaining individuals to act now, emphasizing that timely compliance avoids financial consequences and supports fair tax administration.
