Aruba police inspected a Barcadera suspicious boat after a marine-surveillance contact was detected moving toward the shoreline on Tuesday night.
Patrols sent to Rancho di Nel
The Police Central directed available patrols to the Rancho di Nel area after the vessel, reported to be approaching from the south, appeared to reach land. Officers were asked to respond quickly and check the landing.
K9 search found nothing illegal
A K9 unit was also called to inspect the people and a pickup at the location. According to the report, the dog completed the search and did not detect anything illegal.
The vessel was described as suspicious because of its route and landing, but the source did not report arrests, seizures or confirmed criminal activity.
