Grupo di Betico has joined Fundacion Ultimo Deseo Aruba as an ambassador, bringing all 16 members of the traditional music group into the foundation’s public-awareness work.
Music group joins last-wish foundation
FUDA supports people in Aruba who have a terminal illness or are confined to bed and depend on ambulance transport. The foundation says it helps fulfill last wishes without charging recipients and relies on donations, sponsors and volunteers.
The organization identified its new ambassadors as Gos Oduber, Jouel Croes, Maikito Croes, Miguel Genser, Dennis Rasmijn, Rudney Lopez, Hemmy Croes, Michael Croes, Papa Maiky Croes, Dennis Oduber, Dino Luidens, Angelo Kock, Ofo Croes, Jaderick Croes, Jeremy Bonarriba and Rendell Silva.
Partnership aims to expand awareness
FUDA president Renate Raven said the partnership can help more residents learn that the foundation exists and understand the support it offers. The Grupo di Betico FUDA ambassador role connects the group’s cultural profile with the charity’s outreach.
Grupo di Betico was founded 57 years ago by Betico Croes and is known for Dande and other traditional and contemporary Aruban music. The announcement did not state a fixed term or separate fundraising target for the ambassador partnership.
