ORANJESTAD – Opposition Members of Parliament Evelyna Wever-Croes and Rocco Tjon have formally submitted a request under Aruba’s Landsverordening Openbaarheid van Bestuur (LOB) to Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor Wendrick Cicilia, seeking full transparency regarding the island’s waste management project.
The request seeks access to all documents related to the involvement of the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), including correspondence, meeting minutes, legal opinions, procurement documents, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluation reports, scoring matrices and the final contract award.
The MPs said they had previously requested access to the documents but had not received a response. They are asking the minister to provide the records in digital format and explain any information withheld under the applicable provisions of the LOB law.
