ORANJESTAD – Before the start of the school holidays, first-year students at Colegio EPI’s Science & Technology (C&T) program attended an educational presentation by WEB Aruba N.V. titled “Water and Energy for Aruba.”
During the session, WEB representative Angelo Geerman explained how Aruba produces and distributes water and electricity. Students learned about the differences between Low Fuel Oil (LFO) and Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), ongoing gas developments, and how WEB uses modern technology and smart systems to manage production efficiently.
The presentation also highlighted the amount of renewable energy generated through WEB’s solar park and the wind turbines at Vader Piet.
Students actively participated by asking questions and showed strong interest in the technical topics discussed. WEB said it was pleased to share its knowledge with Aruba’s future generation of technical and scientific professionals.
At the end of the presentation, Colegio EPI C&T students presented Geerman with a small gift in appreciation of the informative session.
