ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Colombian Consulate in Aruba will celebrate Colombia’s Independence Day on July 19 with a public ceremony and the visit of the Colombian Navy patrol vessel ARC 24 de Julio at the Port of Oranjestad.
The program will include the Colombian national anthem, a flag-raising ceremony, speeches by Aruba’s Prime Minister, the President of Parliament and Colombian Consul General Gustavo Serrano Amaya, followed by cultural performances featuring music, dance and poetry.
From 11:00 a.m., members of the public will be able to board the patrol vessel on guided tours to learn about its history and capabilities. The Colombian Consulate has invited both the Colombian community and the wider Aruban public to attend the celebration.
