ORANJESTAD – Aruba’s Department of Foreign Relations is encouraging residents traveling during the school holiday season to review official travel advisories before departing.
The department reminds travelers to check the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice for their destination, particularly for countries or regions classified under Orange or Red travel codes.
An Orange advisory means travel should only take place if it is essential, while a Red advisory advises against all travel because of serious safety risks.
The department also noted that travelers who choose to visit destinations with Orange or Red advisories may not receive full assistance from Dutch embassies if they encounter problems.
Residents are encouraged to visit the official Nederland Wereldwijd website for the latest information on travel advisories, entry requirements, local laws, cultural guidance and embassy contact details before traveling.
