ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Shannon Vullings and Gen Ras Crowned Miss Turismo Aruba during an official coronation ceremony held Saturday evening at Cage Nightclub, where the two contestants were selected to represent Aruba at the Miss Tourism World 2026 pageant.
The first title awarded was Miss Petite Turismo Aruba 2026, presented to Shannon Vullings. She received her sash and crown from Brianna Arrindell, who represented Aruba internationally last year and was crowned Teen Tourism World 2026.
The ceremony continued with the crowning of Gen Ras as Señora Turismo Aruba 2026. Her crown was presented by Zahaira Marin, who earned the title of First Runner-Up at Señora Tourism World 2025.
Both titleholders will travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in August 2026 to represent Aruba at the Miss Tourism World 2026 competition, which is scheduled to take place from August 10 to 15.
Following her coronation, Shannon Vullings said she is ready to give her best performance on the international stage and proudly represent Aruba.
During the event, Gen Ras, who works as a teacher, shared that only a few colleagues and one close friend knew about her participation. She said many of her students will be surprised to see their teacher competing in an international beauty pageant.
Preparations for both contestants are being coordinated by Angelo Trimon, who is overseeing their training ahead of the international competition.
The newly crowned representatives now have several weeks to prepare before departing to showcase Aruba’s culture, beauty, and hospitality on the global stage at Miss Tourism World 2026.
