ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Government of Aruba signed the official condolence book at the Venezuelan Consulate to honor the victims of the devastating earthquake that recently struck Venezuela.
Prime Minister Mike Eman and Minister Mervin Wyatt-Ras visited the Venezuelan Consulate in Tanki Flip on Friday morning to express the government’s deepest sympathies to the Venezuelan people and the families who lost loved ones.
Aruba has already mobilized humanitarian assistance, with an 11-member team from the Aruba Red Cross and the Crisis Management Office (CMO) working in La Guaira alongside international emergency response teams.
The community has also responded generously by donating drinking water, food, medicine, clothing and other essential supplies. Several shipments of humanitarian aid have already departed for Venezuela.
The government said the united response from volunteers, businesses and residents reflects Aruba’s strong spirit of solidarity during times of regional crisis.
