Two Children Injured After Electric Bike Wheel Detaches

ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Two children were injured Tuesday afternoon after the front wheel of their electric bike detached while they were riding to their favorite sports activity.

Police and ambulance crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident. Authorities found that the two siblings had fallen after the bike’s front wheel came loose.

One child suffered an injury to the foot, while the other sustained a head injury and lost a tooth in the fall.

Paramedics treated both children at the scene. Neither child required transportation to the hospital, according to emergency responders.
