Aruba Airport Authority N.V. celebrated a major boost in regional connectivity with the arrival of LATAM Airlines’ inaugural direct service between Bogotá (BOG) and Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA).

LATAM becomes the third carrier to operate flights on this growing route, joining Avianca’s 14 weekly flights and Wingo’s twice-weekly service. The airline already operates five weekly flights between Lima and Aruba, representing 13% of Aruba’s seat capacity from Latin America. With the addition of three weekly Bogotá flights, Aruba gains an extra 522 seats per week—a 46% increase compared to December 2024—reflecting strong Colombian travel demand and LATAM’s expanding footprint in the Caribbean.

The inaugural flight arrived at 1:20 PM using an Airbus A320 configured with Premium Economy and Economy seating. The return flight departed at 2:35 PM, offering onward connectivity to LATAM’s extensive South American network.

“Welcoming LATAM as the third airline on this route represents a major milestone for our airport,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority. “With Avianca, Wingo, and now LATAM operating a combined 19 weekly flights, connectivity between Bogotá and Aruba has never been stronger. LATAM’s entry brings healthy competition and more travel options for leisure and business travelers.”

LATAM will operate the Bogotá–Aruba service on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays through January 31, 2026, while evaluating the route’s performance for potential long-term scheduling. The flights also carry cargo and mail, expanding commercial opportunities between Colombia and Aruba.

With this addition, Aruba Airport further strengthens its Latin American network, reinforcing Bogotá as one of the island’s fastest-growing and strategically important feeder markets.
