ORANJESTAD – A used mattress was found abandoned in the middle of Pedro Gallegostraat, prompting frustration over illegal dumping and public littering in Aruba.
The incident drew criticism from residents, who described the act as irresponsible and disrespectful to the community. They emphasized that household waste should not be discarded on public roads and urged everyone to help keep Aruba clean.
Residents reminded the public that maintaining a clean island is a shared responsibility and called on people to dispose of bulky waste through the proper collection services instead of leaving it on streets and public areas.
