REYNOSA, MEXICO – Aruba’s Intermediate (50/70) baseball team captured the Latin American championship after defeating host team Mexico Kelly 8-6 in a thrilling final.
The victory completed an impressive tournament run for Aruba. After losing its opening game, the team rebounded with key wins over Colombia and Mexico Gallos before edging Venezuela 8-6 in the semifinals.
By winning the regional title, Aruba also secured qualification for the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series, which will be held in Livermore, California, from August 2 to 9, 2026.
The championship marks a major achievement for Aruban baseball and recognizes the talent, discipline, and dedication of the young players, coaching staff, and everyone who contributed to the team’s success.
Aruba will now represent the entire Latin American region against the world’s top Intermediate baseball teams at the international tournament in California.
