ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Departamento di Enseñansa Aruba (DEA) has announced that registration for the Naturalization Test will open on July 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. This registration period is exclusively for the four components of the Dutch A2 level exam: Lezen, Luisteren, Schrijven, and Spreken.
According to the DEA, there will be no registration for the Community and State Orientation (OC & OE) exams or the Papiamento A2 level exam at this time. Candidates must complete a digital form available at www.ea.aw by searching for “Naturalisatietoets” or “Prueba di Naturalisacion.” A Gmail address is mandatory for registration; the department will not accept applications submitted at the counter or via other email addresses.
Applicants are required to upload specific documents in PDF format to complete their registration. These include a scan of a valid passport and an extract of the Civil Registry (Censo di 5 florin) issued within the last six months. Additionally, candidates must provide scans of any granted declarations, Naturalization Certificates obtained prior to 2010, or EPB-arbeidsmarkt and SPO diplomas with final grade lists if applicable. The DEA noted that only complete registrations will be processed.
The first round of testing is scheduled for September 2026, with a second round to follow. For more details, residents are encouraged to visit the DEA website.
