Diego de Cuba, president of the Aruban Workers Union (STA), stated in an interview with Matutino DIARIO that Serlimar Suigeneris employees have the right to higher pay and improved benefits.
De Cuba emphasized that Serlimar, like NV Elmar, Setar NV, and WEB Aruba NV, is a valuable company with many workers who deserve fair compensation. He expressed that if Serlimar were converted into a government-owned NV, employees could have more opportunities to generate income and benefits.
The union leader also highlighted issues from the COVID-19 period, noting that employees worked diligently during the pandemic and deserve proper recognition and compensation, including a long-overdue allowance that has been pending for over 16 years.
De Cuba urges Serlimar to review their pay and benefits policies to ensure fairness and employee satisfaction.
