Ministers Gerlien Croes (Sports) and Wendrick Cicilia (Tourism) received the first “finisher” medals of the 2026 KLM Aruba Marathon. The medals were presented by Kees van Muiswinkel, President of Foundation Run in the Sun Aruba, as a gesture of gratitude to Aruba. The 8th edition of the marathon will take place on June 6–7, 2026, with nearly 3,000 participants from 42 countries, including 850 international runners. The event features Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances, with prizes for overall winners, age groups, and record breakers. The race is certified by AIMS/World Athletics and includes advanced timing, tracking app, hydration stations, and safety measures. Sponsors include Aruba Tourism Authority, KLM, Cavalier Logistics, BDO Aruba, and Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort. The event highlights Aruba as a premier international marathon destination.
