Aruba Police Report Recent Incidents and Operations
The Aruba Police Force has reported on several incidents occurring across the island this week.
In San Nicolas, the force has strengthened supervision and security measures in the Playa area. A surprise raid at Sero Biento resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and a firearm. Meanwhile, an intensive traffic control operation was conducted in the Santa Cruz district on Wednesday afternoon and evening, resulting in 108 fines issued.
Community Training and Partnerships
The Aruba Police Force also collaborated with the Education and Labor Platform (PEL) to provide training for Certified Internship Mentors.
Emergency Responses and Incidents
Emergency responders were dispatched to a collision in Pavia, where a Nissan March crashed into a concrete embankment around 5:30 PM on Wednesday. In Paradera, a young woman was attacked by a pit bull while jogging on Wednesday morning.
In maritime news, the Coast Guard confiscated drugs for the second time in three days, transferring four suspects to the Aruba Police. Additionally, various authorities coordinated a rescue operation for a tourist who fell ill on Hooiberg. The community also learned of the tragic passing of Eric Tromp from Bubali, a known football player for SV Bubali.
