Hose Figaroa to Discuss HOFA Law on Noticiacla LIVE

ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The HOFA law remains at the center of national debate in Aruba, and tonight on Noticiacla LIVE, journalist Tito Laclé will interview union leader Hose Figaroa to explore its implications.

Based on Figaroa’s previous positions and union perspective, the discussion is expected to focus on HOFA as a matter of principle rather than just politics. A key issue will be whether the law represents a lack of respect for Aruba’s Parliament and citizens, and how it may limit local decision-making power.

The interview will also address concerns about democracy, including whether a future government can freely implement its financial policies or if HOFA will impose strict limitations. Questions about autonomy and external control by the Netherlands are expected to be central topics.

Another important aspect will be public trust, examining why Aruba must accept external financial supervision despite having its own financial laws, and whether HOFA truly brings economic stability and lower interest costs as previously claimed by Dutch authorities.

The conversation will also explore long-term concerns such as the impact on future generations and whether Aruba could become permanently tied to the system.

The program aims to make the issue relevant to everyday citizens by explaining how HOFA could affect daily life, emphasizing that the debate is not only for politicians but for the entire community.

Noticiacla LIVE will stream tonight at 8:30 PM on Facebook and YouTube, offering a platform for open and critical discussion on a law that could shape Aruba’s economic and political future.
