Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, visited the Queen Beatrix International Airport to recognize the workforce behind the Gateway 2030 project. The visit marked the completion of the highest structural point of the Phase 1B expansion, a significant milestone for the infrastructure development.

During the ceremony, Minister Cicilia emphasized that the transformation of the airport is not just about concrete and steel, but about the people who dedicate their expertise to Aruba’s development. He noted that the airport is a source of national pride and the primary gateway for visitors to the island.

The Minister challenged the team to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe, stating he looks forward to cutting the ribbon on December 15. The project is seen as a critical step in modernizing the island’s tourism infrastructure and improving the passenger experience.
