SVb Aruba Warns Companies Over Minimum Wage Data Errors

The SVb Aruba minimum wage data fines warning has been issued to companies that fail to update correct salary information in the system.

According to SVb Director Edwin Jacobs, several companies have not yet adjusted their records to reflect recent increases in minimum wage and related salary levels. To address this, SVb will conduct studies and system updates to verify that all employer-submitted data is accurate.

Jacobs emphasized that under the law, all information submitted to SVb must be correct at all times. Companies that fail to provide accurate data will face fines as part of enforcement measures.

The SVb Aruba minimum wage data fines initiative aims to ensure that employers correctly report employee salaries and pay the appropriate social insurance contributions. SVb has already sent official letters to companies requesting updated information, including payslips, especially in cases where minimum wage adjustments have not been properly recorded.

Employers are reminded of their responsibility to update the system whenever employee salaries increase, ensuring that the correct premiums are paid.

Employees are also encouraged to verify their salary information through the SVb mobile app. If discrepancies are found between their payslip and the registered data, they are advised to contact SVb so the issue can be investigated and corrected.
