ORANJESTAD (AAN): Every month, Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) recognizes a staff member who stands out for their dedication and performance. For March 2026, this honor was awarded to Euwald Cicilia, a valued member of the hospital’s technical team.
Euwald has been working at HOH for three years, specializing in maintaining and managing medical equipment. During what he believed to be a regular meeting, he was surprised to find his family, colleagues, management, and board members present, as the gathering was actually organized to celebrate his achievement.
His nomination was based on HOH’s TRUSTED values, supported by his team, manager, and even an external company that recognized his contribution during a major project. Euwald is known as a reliable team player, contributing to a positive work environment and consistently delivering responsible and high-quality technical work.
He is respected for his clear communication, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. Euwald prioritizes safety in all tasks and is recognized for his patience, technical knowledge, and ability to deliver consistent results.
His work plays a crucial role in ensuring that medical equipment functions properly, allowing nurses and specialists to rely on accurate information and diagnoses for patient care. He frequently works across departments such as pediatrics, operating rooms, and intensive care.
Euwald also contributed significantly to the implementation of the HiX system, ensuring that all equipment data was properly configured. His dedication was even acknowledged by the Dutch company ChipSoft.
