On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) welcomed a group of first-grade students aged 6-7 from 2PlayWhizz Campus. This school is known for fostering curiosity and creativity in its students, with different educational projects. As part of an ongoing project, the students visited the COA to learn more about the Olympic world and to gain insight into the lives of local athletes.
The students showed great enthusiasm during the visit, asking a large number of questions about the Olympics. Many expressed their interest in practicing sports and their dream of one day representing Aruba as an Olympic athlete. The visit included a detailed presentation about the Olympic Games, starting with the ancient Olympic Games in Olympia, Greece, which began more than 3,000 years ago, and continuing with the work that local athletes are doing to reach the international stage.
The students were also introduced to the Olympic torch and its role in the Games, which caught their attention. To conclude the visit, each child received a COA pin as a keepsake.
The COA expressed their gratitude to Ms. Maruska Croes-Vis and Ms. Isabel Garcia de Paredes for coordinating and guiding the visit.
