The Aruba Airport Green Globe Certification has been achieved once again, as Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) proudly announced that Queen Beatrix International Airport has successfully earned its fourth consecutive Green Globe certification.

This milestone reflects the airport’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, workplace safety, efficiency, and innovation. Aruba Airport made history in 2022 by becoming the first airport in the world to receive this certification, setting a strong benchmark for environmentally responsible airport operations.

The Aruba Airport Green Globe Certification is part of a globally recognized program that evaluates sustainable practices in travel and tourism. This latest achievement highlights continued efforts to reduce environmental impact while improving operational performance.

Key initiatives implemented over the past year include the installation of high-efficiency cooling systems, waste separation programs, recycling of cooking oil, and improved water management systems. The airport has also focused on raising environmental awareness through training sessions and sustainability-focused activities within the airport community.

Aligned with AAA’s corporate strategy, the certification supports Aruba’s goals to reduce carbon emissions and integrate sustainable practices across all business processes.

The achievement of the Aruba Airport Green Globe Certification once again positions Aruba as a leader in sustainable aviation and reinforces its commitment to protecting the environment while supporting tourism growth.
