The Ata Compa Nanzi atrobe book launch Aruba event was successfully held at the National Library of Aruba, bringing together literature lovers and members of the community to celebrate Papiamento storytelling and cultural heritage.
The event was organized by Fundacion Lanta Papiamento (FLP), which expressed great satisfaction with the successful launch of the book “Ata Compa Nanzi atrobe!” The evening attracted an enthusiastic audience who enjoyed the presentations and discussions surrounding the book.
The literary work presents the well-known stories of Compa Nanzi in a fresh and innovative format. Compa Nanzi is an iconic character deeply rooted in Caribbean storytelling traditions and is especially significant within Papiamento literature and cultural heritage.
The book “Ata Compa Nanzi atrobe!” is based on the original stories written by Yvette Ecury and Andy Daal, whose work has played an important role in preserving and promoting the tradition of Compa Nanzi storytelling.
