Home Aliansa Nobo Rehab Center has joined the national Cuida Aruba campaign, adding its residents to community cleanup efforts in Mahuma and surrounding neighborhoods.
Center supports 26 participants
The announcement was made in Mahuma in the presence of Prime Minister Mike Eman, foundation representative Sigfried Valentino Koeiman and Robert Candelaria, secretary-general of the Ministry of General Affairs.
The center currently provides guidance to 26 participants, combining spiritual support with personal development intended to help people recover from addiction and reintegrate into society.
Residents will contribute through cleanup work
Koeiman said Home Aliansa Nobo wants to give back by having residents take part in cleanup activity in Mahuma and nearby areas. Candelaria said the partnership also reflects a broader interpretation of caring for Aruba that includes supporting people as well as maintaining public spaces.
Cuida Aruba brings government, businesses, nongovernmental organizations, schools, churches, volunteers and residents together around island maintenance. Details of the new partnership were reported by 24ora.
