ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Aruba Tourism Sustainability Alliance has officially begun, with the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) and the Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF) holding a kick-off meeting to mark the start of a strategic partnership. This collaboration, which is set to be formalized in early 2026, aims to strengthen Aruba’s commitment to responsible destination management and long-term sustainability.
The initiative aligns with ATA’s strategic plans, focusing on stakeholder engagement and partnerships with non-governmental organizations and educational institutions. As part of the collaboration, they plan to develop sustainable tourism experiences while ensuring environmental protection, particularly through the establishment of Aruba’s first Marine Conservation Center.
ATA’s CEO Ronella Croes emphasized that Aruba is evolving to attract higher-value tourists who prioritize sustainability, aligning with global trends. The alliance aims to balance tourism growth with environmental preservation for future generations.
