A significant milestone occurred when representatives of Stichting Bernhardstraat Officially Established the organization by signing the documents and formalizing the foundation in front of a notary.
According to President John Hassel, this formalization is not only a legal step but also a clear declaration of commitment to actively work for the benefit of San Nicolas and the Common Good.
“A child is very good, he communicates more with others, he helps others and does not involve each other more,” said Hassel, emphasizing the spirit of community and cooperation.
Stichting Bernhardstraat’s vision is focused on the renovation and revitalization of the Bernhardstraat area, which includes restoring building facades and collaborating with contractors, sponsors, and volunteers to give the neighborhood a fresh, updated look.
One example of this vision is the mural in Chocolate City that honors Julio Bernardo Euson, serving as a symbol of art and cultural identity that strengthens community pride. According to Hassel, the physical improvement of the area will naturally lead to a positive social impact.
This initiative is part of a larger movement in San Nicolas, where local organizations are taking the lead to revitalize their neighborhoods, in line with the spirit of Common Good promoted during the conference.
With the official signature by a notary, Stichting Bernhardstraat Officially Established marks the beginning of a new phase, where collaboration, creativity, and community commitment are central to creating a better, more united, and dynamic San Nicolas.
