ORANJESTAD, Aruba — A Caya G F Croes traffic accident was reported early Monday morning near the roundabout by the former Marathon area, prompting a police and ambulance response.
Upon arrival, authorities determined that a young driver lost control while braking suddenly when approaching the roundabout. The vehicle struck a house pillar and damaged multiple water meters along the road.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated the driver at the scene. Although the individual sustained injuries, the driver declined hospital transport and signed a waiver refusing further medical treatment.
Police documented the incident and assessed the damage at the location.
