The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) has expressed its deepest gratitude to Ms. Esther “Tita” Iglesias, who has officially retired after an impressive and dedicated career in Aruba’s tourism industry.

Tita Iglesias joined A.T.A. on November 7, 2016, where she served passionately as Coordinator of Events and Sponsorships, always bringing warmth and positivity to her work. With over 41 years of experience in the tourism sector, Tita brought invaluable expertise, leadership, and joy to every role she undertook.

Before joining A.T.A., Tita served as Commercial Manager at Insel Air Aruba, overseeing operations and expansion across 11 destinations. She also worked as Romance Coordinator at Hyatt Regency Aruba, specializing in weddings and events, and held leadership positions in marketing and public relations at Sonesta Resort and Crystal & Seaport Casinos. Throughout her distinguished career, she received multiple awards, including Manager of the Quarter and other honors from Hyatt Corporation.

A special celebration was held in her honor, where Ronella Croes, CEO of A.T.A., shared heartfelt words:

“In Tita, we found the perfect person to complement a young and dynamic team with her seniority and guidance. Tita, you never disappointed — you continued to serve Aruba’s tourism with excellence!”

Patrick Melchiors, Destination Services Manager, also spoke at the event:

“Tita, your wisdom and knowledge shaped not just projects but also the people who had the privilege to work with you. You leave behind a real legacy that will remain with us for a long time.”

Minister of Tourism, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, reflected on his own experience working with Tita, expressing gratitude for the lessons he continues to apply today.

The celebration concluded with a touching tribute video prepared by the A.T.A. team, followed by toasts, serenades, and a lively Carnival-inspired farewell.

The Aruba Tourism Authority extended heartfelt thanks to Tita Iglesias for her unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to the growth and promotion of Aruba’s tourism. The organization wishes her every success and happiness in this next beautiful chapter of her life.
