On Thursday evening, Prime Minister Mike Eman attended a welcome reception at Fort Zoutman to honor the presence of 15 diplomats from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, including regional ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and consuls.
His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, Governor of Aruba, opened the event with words of welcome. In his remarks, Prime Minister Eman shared his vision and direction for the future, emphasizing the importance of lasting ties and mutual respect within the Kingdom. He underscored Aruba’s essential role in a partnership built on sustainable cooperation, trust, and shared progress, and expressed his intention to further strengthen diplomatic relations and open doors for development with other countries.
“Relations within the Kingdom should broaden our horizons,” Eman noted. “Through unity and respect, we can go further—creating opportunities for growth and well-being for all the peoples of the Kingdom.”
The evening fostered an atmosphere of exchange, collaboration, and human connection, as diplomats and members of the AVP-Futuro Cabinet shared ideas, experiences, and aspirations for a stronger Kingdom and a confident, forward-looking Aruba.
The Government of Aruba reaffirmed its commitment to building strategic, durable diplomatic ties as a foundation for stability, development, and unity within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
