ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba Police conducted a traffic enforcement operation in Oranjestad to monitor drivers using cell phones. Officers were positioned at strategic locations throughout the city. During the operation, 200 vehicles were checked. Authorities issued fines to 69 drivers for holding a cellphone while driving and fined 3 additional drivers for driving without a valid license. Police emphasized that traffic controls are conducted regularly to prevent accidents and urged motorists to stay focused on safety and avoid using phones while driving.
