On Wednesday, during afternoon and evening hours, Santa Cruz district police executed an intensive traffic control. At various strategic points, police stopped more than 250 motor vehicles, issuing 108 tickets for various traffic violations. In addition to traffic violations, police made arrests for drug possession and detained two persons for illegal status. The Police Corps informs that these controls will continue in the coming days and appeals to drivers to carry valid documents, reduce speed, and avoid cell phone use.
