ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Aruba Meteorological Department is forecasting a partly cloudy day with brief showers, mainly during the early morning hours, along with strong winds and a light to moderate concentration of Saharan dust.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 33°C, with a heat index between 34°C and 38°C, while the overnight low will be around 26°C.
Forecasters said a high-pressure system over the Atlantic will continue generating moderate to strong easterly winds. A tropical wave moving westward near Bonaire is also expected to bring additional moisture, increasing the chance of isolated showers and a slight possibility of thunderstorms.
The department warned that Saharan dust may reduce visibility and affect air quality, advising people with respiratory conditions to take precautions. Small craft are also urged to exercise caution along Aruba’s east to northwest coasts, where wave heights of 7 to 8 feet are expected.
