ORANJESTAD (AAN): Parliamentarian Xiomara Maduro recently attended the SMAC “Thank You Event,” where she received recognition for the support provided by the Wever-Croes Cabinet to SMAC and Aruba’s Carnival.
The SMAC Thank You Event Aruba highlighted appreciation for individuals and institutions that contributed to the success of Carnival, one of the island’s most important cultural celebrations.
During the event, Maduro emphasized the importance of culture in everyday life, stating that “culture must be lived.” As a former Minister of Culture and now a parliamentarian, she reaffirmed her continued commitment to supporting and celebrating Aruba’s Carnival.
She also expressed gratitude to SMAC President Darren van Ommeren and the entire SMAC team for their dedication and efforts in making Carnival Aruba a success.
The SMAC Thank You Event Aruba reflects ongoing collaboration between cultural organizations and leaders to preserve and promote Aruba’s traditions.
