ORANJESTAD (AAN): Siberi Foundation development training Aruba focuses on creating opportunities for children, youth, and adults to grow and develop through targeted training programs and courses, according to foundation co-founder Ricky Hoek.
Siberi Foundation was officially established at the end of August 2025 after Hoek identified a growing need for structured social support within Aruba’s community. Together with Wilga Zibel, he launched the foundation to address development gaps affecting children, young people, and adults.
In an interview with DIARIO, Hoek explained that Siberi Foundation development training Aruba is designed to promote personal growth, practical skills, and emotional strength. The foundation also supports professionals working in the social sector who require guidance, training, or skill upgrades.
In 2025, the foundation launched a 12-week pilot program for young mothers, running from September through December. During the first six weeks, Wilga Zibel focused on emotional intelligence and trauma healing. In the second phase, Hoek provided practical training, including income-generating skills such as cooking, baking, nail care, hair styling, and creative work.
Beyond practical skills, the program also emphasized leadership, self-care, communication, and basic writing skills. According to Hoek, the combination of emotional intelligence and practical training within Siberi Foundation development training Aruba helps young participants rebuild confidence and prepare to return to education or enter the labor market.
Hoek noted that the program will continue and expand, with materials translated into multiple languages to ensure accessibility for all participants. The foundation also plans to launch new projects targeting parents of young mothers, further strengthening family support systems across Aruba.
