The Cuerpo Policial Aruba (KPA) is investigating a serious shooting incident in Sero Biento in which a motorcyclist was apparently shot at while riding through the area.
On Wednesday night, September 30, a motorcycle driver passing along the Sero Biento road felt a pain in his back. When he arrived home, he discovered that a bullet was lodged in his back brace. The man immediately notified Police Dispatch, which sent a police patrol, detectives and forensic police to the location.
According to the police, the Detective Department is aware of several incidents involving shootings in the vicinity of Sero Biento and is conducting a rigorous investigation into the matter.
The KPA has appealed to anyone who knows something or saw anything suspicious to call the police tip line at 11141. Callers remain anonymous.
Police have not ruled out that arrests will follow in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
The incident has raised concern among residents, as it is one of several overnight shooting reports involving motorcyclists in the Sero Biento and Hooiberg areas this week. Authorities say they are closely monitoring the situation.
