VIEWS

The Savaneta Food Market Aruba is set to bring fresh local produce and a vibrant community experience this Sunday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the MFA Savaneta complex.

Organized by Foundation Savaneta, in collaboration with Santa Rosa and MFA Savaneta, the event aims to support local farmers while offering residents affordable access to healthy food. The Savaneta Food Market Aruba comes at a time when the cost of living continues to rise, providing an alternative for families seeking quality products at better prices.

Visitors can expect a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including bananas, oranges, sweet potatoes, and regular potatoes, all grown by local producers. Thanks to cooperation with a major wholesaler, shoppers can benefit from discounts of up to 30% compared to supermarket prices, making the market both accessible and economical.

The Savaneta Food Market Aruba is more than just a traditional farmers market. It offers a full food experience with a Creole Food Court featuring six different kitchens. Attendees can enjoy authentic local dishes such as goat stew, meat stew, conconber stew, and keri keri, giving the event a true Aruban flavor.

The atmosphere will reflect the island’s culture, with music by a live DJ, entertainment, and domino tables, creating a welcoming environment for families and visitors. The event highlights the importance of community engagement and cultural preservation through food and social interaction.

Organizers Randy Maduro of Santa Rosa and Norman Thijsen of Foundation Savaneta emphasized the significance of the initiative. They stated that the goal is to support local producers while helping consumers manage rising food costs, strengthening both the economy and community ties.

The Savaneta Food Market Aruba also ensures convenience for visitors, offering sufficient parking and modern payment options, including Swipe Machines.

Events like this reflect the growing importance of local markets in Aruba, where communities come together to support sustainable agriculture and local businesses. Fresh produce markets are increasingly seen as essential in promoting healthier lifestyles and boosting the local economy.

The Savaneta Food Market Aruba promises a day filled with food, culture, and community spirit, making it a must-visit event for residents across the island.
