The Santa Rosa public tender remains open for companies interested in competing for four service contracts supporting the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, known as DLVV Santa Rosa.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever is making a final appeal to qualified companies not to miss the opportunity.
The deadline for submitting bids is Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Wever encouraged businesses with the necessary experience, personnel and equipment to review the tender requirements and submit their best offers before the deadline.
The four contracts are intended to strengthen Santa Rosa’s operational capacity and help it continue providing services to farmers, livestock producers and other businesses in Aruba’s primary sector.
Part of the work will also involve maintaining and improving Santa Rosa’s own facilities.
Four Types of Contracts
The first contract covers maintenance and infrastructure work.
This includes building maintenance, plumbing, basic electrical work, welding, irrigation and other related services.
The second contract focuses on animal care, including feeding animals, providing water and cleaning stalls.
The third involves heavy equipment and agricultural support.
Work may include preparing land, excavation, transporting water, maintaining dams and completing other field-related activities.
The fourth contract covers cultivation and agricultural production.
This includes land preparation, pest control, harvesting and other activities directly related to agricultural production.
Companies are not required to bid on all four contracts.
Businesses may submit an offer for one contract, several contracts or all four, depending on their expertise and capacity.
According to the ministry, this structure creates opportunities for companies specializing in specific areas of work.
Supporting Farmers and Livestock Producers
Successful contractors will assist Santa Rosa both with work on its own property and with services provided to clients.
For example, livestock producers may receive assistance repairing or welding damaged fencing, cleaning stalls or completing other necessary work.
Farmers may receive assistance with land preparation, water transportation or the use of heavy machinery.
The contracted teams will help Santa Rosa maintain sufficient capacity to respond to these types of requests.
Many services provided by Santa Rosa to farmers and livestock producers are subsidized by the Government of Aruba.
This allows local producers to access certain services at more affordable prices.
Wever said strengthening Santa Rosa’s capacity will therefore directly benefit people working in agriculture and livestock production.
“We want Santa Rosa to be able to help more farmers and more livestock producers,” Wever said.
He added that the government will continue supporting affordable services while ensuring Santa Rosa has the workforce and resources needed to provide them.
Contracts Will Run for 36 Months
The four contracts will have a duration of 36 months.
Work performed under the agreements will be regularly coordinated and evaluated to ensure services meet the quality standards required by Santa Rosa and its clients.
Interested companies are being urged not to wait until the final moment to submit their bids.
