A driver was detained after a Santa Cruz head-on collision involving two vehicles on Sunday night, according to a local news report.
24ora reported on the Santa Cruz collision, which occurred at about 8 p.m. on a curve in the district.
Two vehicles collided on a curve
The report said a Kia Sportage was travelling from the direction of Piedra Plat when it crossed to the opposite side for an undetermined reason and collided head-on with a Nissan March coming from Santa Cruz.
Police units responded to the scene. Firefighters were also dispatched after authorities received information that someone might be trapped in a vehicle.

Ambulance personnel treated one injured person. According to the source, that person was not transported to hospital by ambulance.
