ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba will host the first-ever San Nicolas Food Festival on Friday, July 3, at the Aruba Carnival & Entertainment Village, bringing together local food vendors, live entertainment and family activities in a celebration of the district’s rich culinary heritage.
Running from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, the free event will feature 30 local entrepreneurs offering a wide variety of Caribbean and Aruban dishes, reflecting San Nicolas’ multicultural history and traditions.
Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector Minister Geoffrey Wever said the festival is more than a food event, describing it as an investment in San Nicolas’ economic future by creating opportunities for local businesses, encouraging private investment and attracting more visitors to the district.
The festival will also include live music, DJs, steelpan performances and a free children’s activity area.
According to the government, the event forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen San Nicolas as Aruba’s Cultural Heritage City and promote it as a leading culinary, cultural and tourism destination in the Caribbean.
