ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Minister of Justice, Public Transport, Integration, and Energy Arthur Dowers received the new board of the Police Union SPA (Sindicato di Polis SPA) at his office on Thursday afternoon for an introductory meeting.
The session included newly elected union president Lito Lacle and SPA Commissioner Alex Wernet. During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on the critical importance of maintaining open lines of communication between the Ministry of Justice and police representatives. The conversation specifically addressed the well-being of police officers, the strengthening of the police organization, and the security of the community.
Minister Dowers congratulated the new board members on their recent election and wished them success in their new responsibilities. He emphasized his belief in a collaboration based on mutual respect, stating that open communication is fundamental to strengthening the police force and guaranteeing a safer, more stable Aruba with increased community trust.
