On Sunday evening, authorities were notified of yet another serious traffic accident at the well-known Koyari intersection.
A police patrol arrived at the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m., near Koyari 27-A, close to the Italo Arubano Company. The collision involved two sedan vehicles. The first responding officers identified the vehicles as a black Lexus and a black Nissan Skyline.
In addition to officers from the Northern District, traffic accident specialists were dispatched to the location to secure the area and begin their investigation.
At the scene, occupants of both vehicles became verbally confrontational, prompting police to intervene and restore order. Authorities later confirmed that one of the drivers did not possess a valid driver’s license.
An ambulance was also dispatched to the scene to attend to two young individuals who were visibly shaken by the incident. After medical evaluation, no serious injuries were reported, and the ambulance personnel continued on their way.
According to eyewitnesses, the black Nissan Skyline was traveling southbound on the priority road, while the driver of the Lexus entered the intersection without yielding the right of way, causing the collision.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic while police conducted their investigation.
