Miss Aruba 2025 Contestant, Sammie van Pinxteren: “I Realized That You Don’t Always Get a Second Chance”

The countdown to Miss Aruba 2025 is on, and Sammie van Pinxteren, one of the four contestants vying for the crown, shares her inspiration, passion, and determination. This Sunday at 7pm, Sammie, along with her fellow contestants, will compete for the prestigious title, aiming to represent Aruba both locally and internationally.

🌟 Sammie’s Journey: From Modeling to Advocacy

At just 23 years old, Sammie van Pinxteren is already an accomplished model and marketing professional. Born and raised in Aruba, Sammie brings a unique perspective to the pageant world. She’s not just a pretty face—her journey is driven by a passion for positive change and a deep commitment to helping others.

Sammie’s modeling career began when she was just 7 years old. While on a cruise, a photographer suggested she pursue modeling. She laughed it off at the time, but fate had other plans. Over the years, Sammie worked with renowned Aruban designer Ronchi de Cuba, participated in Art Fashion, and even modeled in America. However, it was during her time in the Netherlands that she took a break from the industry—until she returned to Aruba, where she rekindled her love for it.

💪 Overcoming Adversity: A Newfound Appreciation for Life

Sammie’s determination is rooted in a life-changing experience during the Covid-19 pandemic when she became seriously ill and was hospitalized. This period marked a turning point in her life. Reflecting on her recovery, Sammie said, “I realized that you don’t always get a second chance… Life can end in a moment, and that’s what I felt in that moment.”

This experience has deepened her commitment to helping people with their physical and mental health, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal #3 (Good Health and Well-Being). Sammie’s advocacy centers on ending the taboo around discussing mental health issues and offering support to those suffering in silence.

🌱 Making a Difference in Aruba and Beyond

As part of her journey, Sammie is passionate about spreading a message of wellness, authenticity, and self-love. She encourages others to step out of their comfort zones and embrace life fully. “I want to show that you can be authentic, do things differently, and feel better,” she says.

Sammie’s mission is not just to be a beauty queen but to use the title as a platform to bring about real change in Aruba. If she wins Miss Aruba 2025, Sammie is determined to give 110% to the cause, focusing on community engagement, wellness initiatives, and mental health awareness.

💖 A Message for Future Models and Contestants

Sammie’s journey is an inspiration to many young girls who dream of entering the world of modeling and beauty pageants. She urges them to “live, do the best with your life, and if you need help, find it. Whether it’s reaching out to me or someone else, know that help is available.”

Her advice to future contestants is simple: stay true to yourself, and be fearless in the pursuit of your goals.

🏆 Looking Ahead to Miss Aruba 2025

The competition for Miss Aruba 2025 promises to be a memorable event, with a completely new format featuring just four contestants this year. Sammie and the other finalists are ready to showcase their unique stories, talents, and dedication to making a difference.

Aruba Today wishes Sammie and all the contestants the best of luck in the upcoming pageant!
