MEP has submitted parliamentary questions about the Aruba development plan extension that keeps the ROPV framework in force until July 17, 2029.
The opposition party is seeking an explanation of the decision-making process and whether stakeholders were consulted. It says the extension could affect housing, land availability, economic diversification and renewable-energy projects.
Land applications and criteria
MEP asked the government to disclose how many land applications remain pending, whether a current inventory exists and what criteria will be used when allocating land. It also requested the written advice supporting the extension.
The source report did not include the government’s response. The questions place transparency and future planning at the center of debate over the Aruba development plan extension.
