ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Mabon Renovation Project Brings New Life to Community as long-time residents express gratitude for the transformation taking place in their neighborhood.

As part of a broader government plan to restore and revitalize residential areas across Aruba, the renovation project in Mabon has entered its final phase. The initiative focuses on repairing buildings, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the overall living environment for residents.

The Mabon Renovation Project Brings New Life to Community not only through physical upgrades but also by strengthening the sense of belonging among those who have called the area home for decades.

One of the residents who has witnessed the full transformation is Mrs. Louisa Ann Brathwaite, a pensioner who has lived in the apartment complex for 22 years. She proudly shared that this November will mark more than two decades since she first moved into the area.

“I have lived here for 22 years this November,” she stated with pride. Over the years, she has seen the neighborhood go through different stages, yet she emphasized that the community spirit has always remained strong. According to Brathwaite, neighbors continue to support one another and maintain a sense of unity.

Regarding the current renovation works, she expressed satisfaction with the improvements being carried out. “The construction is good,” she said, noting that the changes have created a refreshing and positive atmosphere throughout the complex.

The Mabon Renovation Project Brings New Life to Community by sending a message that the neighborhood has not been forgotten. For residents like Brathwaite, the project represents more than structural repairs — it symbolizes recognition and attention to long-standing communities.

She specifically acknowledged the government’s role, highlighting the attention given to the area by Prime Minister Mike Eman. For residents who have lived in Mabon for many years, the visible investment reinforces a feeling of value and inclusion.

The renovation project includes building repairs, infrastructure upgrades, and environmental improvements aimed at increasing safety, dignity, and quality of life. Beyond aesthetics, the initiative strengthens community cohesion and promotes pride among residents.

The Mabon Renovation Project Brings New Life to Community stands as part of a larger effort to modernize neighborhoods across Aruba while preserving the strong social bonds that define them.
