Oranjestad, Aruba – In a heartfelt tribute to the women who drive its success, La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino hosted a powerful Women’s Day celebration that honored the contributions and resilience of its female associates. The event featured a captivating keynote by Tisa LaSorte, a trailblazer in Aruba’s tourism industry, and marked a meaningful moment of recognition, unity, and motivation.

A Message of Empowerment from Tisa LaSorte

As the first female CEO and President of the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (AHATA), Tisa LaSorte brought her dynamic voice and story to center stage. Sharing her personal and professional journey—from humble beginnings to becoming one of Aruba’s most influential tourism leaders—she inspired attendees with a message rooted in perseverance, leadership, and vision.

Event Highlights:

  • Tisa LaSorte’s Journey: From local roots to industry leadership
  • Breaking Barriers: Her challenges and milestones as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field
  • Tourism Insights: Thoughts on the evolution and future of Aruba’s tourism industry

The session, moderated by Jessica Franken, Assistant General Manager, fostered open dialogue and left attendees with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose.

Honoring a Legacy of Leadership

Tisa LaSorte, daughter of the late Oscar Henriquez, former Lieutenant Governor of Aruba, is well known not only for her professional achievements but also for her unwavering commitment to community progress. In her role at AHATA, she actively advocates for sustainability, education, and inclusive policies—making her a beacon of leadership far beyond her title.

A Grateful Acknowledgment

La Cabana extends its deepest thanks to everyone who made this celebration possible:

  • The Human Resources and Social Committee for organizing the event
  • The Food & Beverage Team for their exceptional support
  • Jessica Franken for skillfully moderating the discussion
  • And most importantly, Tisa LaSorte, for her candor, courage, and commitment to empowering women in Aruba and beyond

Continuing the Movement

At La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino, we believe that empowered women empower communities. This event is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to fostering leadership, equality, and personal growth among all our associates.

Let us continue to uplift, celebrate, and support women—not just on Women’s Day, but every day.
