ORANJESTAD (AAN): A traffic collision on L.G. Smith Boulevard Thursday morning left a driver injured after a Mazda SUV failed to adjust speed and maintain a safe following distance.

According to police reports, the impact was significant enough that the Aveo driver was thrown forward inside the vehicle and was found injured at the scene.
Police and ambulance crews quickly responded after the accident was reported at about 8:47 a.m. Emergency personnel treated the injured driver on the spot.
