ORANJESTAD – The AVP–FUTURO Cabinet and the teacher unions SIMAR, SEPPA, and TOPA officially signed the first phase of the new teacher salary restructuring on Thursday morning. The signing took place symbolically at the historic building of the Algemene Rekenkamer, known as Aruba’s first public school. This location was chosen to highlight the government’s commitment to strengthening Aruba’s future through education.

With the approval of the 2026 National Budget, this salary restructuring will be formally implemented. The agreement marks an important step toward improving working conditions for Aruba’s educators and reinforcing the country’s long-term investment in quality education.
