Three Beloved Dogs Allegedly Poisoned in Paradera

A deeply disturbing incident has shocked the Paradera community after three well-known and gentle dogs were allegedly poisoned in what residents describe as an act of cruelty. One of the dogs was found dead with its leg tied and its body pushed beneath a construction container, while two others remain missing.

The incident came to light over the weekend after residents noticed that the three dogs—known in the neighborhood as Bobby (white), Bruno (brown), and Leila (a smaller puppy)—had suddenly disappeared. The dogs were often seen together near the Paradera roundabout and were cared for daily by a local woman who, although not their owner, fed them, provided clean water, and ensured their well-being.

When the dogs failed to return, neighbors began searching the surrounding areas, including Sero Patrishi, Shiribana, Roncado, Piedra Plat, and Rooi Afo. Photos of the dogs were widely shared on social media in hopes of locating them.

Following reports, Serlimar was contacted, and a search led to a construction site along the Paradera–Nuñe road. There, under a large container used at the site, Bobby was discovered deceased. His leg had been tied with a rope, and his body appeared to have been deliberately pushed underneath the container. Due to the circumstances, a tow truck was hired by residents to lift the container and retrieve the dog.

The dog showed signs consistent with poisoning. The community chose to take Bobby to a local pet crematorium rather than handing the remains over to authorities.

At this time, the fate of the other two dogs, Bruno and Leila, remains unknown. A report of another deceased dog behind a nearby business has not yet been confirmed.

Police were notified and attended the scene, documenting the case and compiling an official report.

Residents and animal lovers in the area are deeply saddened and are calling on anyone with information to contact the police tip line anonymously at 111-41 or reach out via WhatsApp at 561-6266.
